Styles of Multi Monitor Stands

Multi display LCD monitor mounts come in a variety of styles depending on your needs. The most common is the Freestanding LCD mount which sits on top of your desk. This style of multi display monitor stand is by far the most preferred. There are no holes to drill, just put the mount together and set it on top of your desk.

Grommet Style
These types of LCD mounts and stands provide the same mounting capability but mounted directly to the desk for a more stable mount and usually used for larger LCD or LCD T V mounting. (see picture to left)

Vesa Mounts
Although there are several mounting styles, the connection at the back of your LCD will be the same 'Vesa' type mount. A Vesa mount is basically a specific mounting hole patter on the back of the LCD. The base of each LCD is removed and the Vesa mounting bracket that comes with the LCD mount connects directly to the LCD.

TV Mounts vs LCD Mounts
LCD T V and HDTV mounts are a bit different. They are larger and usually wall or ceiling mounted due to the size and weight of these types of displays. A typical HDTV mount will be a wide, flat mount with several different hole patterns to match up with most HDTV and LCD TV displays.
